I created Proper Welcome Co. after more than twenty years working in hospitality and experiential events, designing moments that bring people together.

My career has spanned restaurants, events, large-scale brand activations, and cultural celebrations, but the philosophy behind my work has always been the same: people remember how something felt long after the event is over.

I began my career working back of house in South Carolina and later expanded my experience to Los Angeles and NYC restaurants, working in front of house and management. Those early years taught me the rhythm of hospitality, how service flows, how systems support an experience, and what it takes to make guests feel genuinely welcomed.

My work later expanded into experiential marketing, events, and large-scale brand activations. As Director of Brand Activations and Events at Coolhaus, I led experiential campaigns for global brands including Hello, Paramount+, M.M.LaFleur, Ritz Crackers, Netflix, and many more, overseeing strategy, production, and the guest experience. These projects included television and film wrap events, show premieres, product launches, brand collaborations, private celebrations, and large-scale cultural activations at major festivals and events, often reaching audiences of more than 50,000 guests.

That experience shaped the way I approach every event. Whether working with brands, corporate teams, or private hosts, I focus on creating interactive moments that feel thoughtful, engaging, and natural.

We collaborate with the client to develop a portfolio of designs that reflect the tone and intention of the gathering. During the event, guests interact with the experience in a way that feels effortless, playful, and memorable.
